Zach + Katie have been longtime friends of ours and we COULDN’T BELIEVE when they asked us to shoot their intimate elopement wedding at Gold Creek Pond, only an hour drive from the city of Seattle! Gold Creek Pond is such a beautiful mountainous region of Washington state near the Snoqaulmie Pass area. It also is the absolute perfect place to have your intimate wedding or elopement. The pond is a 1 mile paved hike all the way around and very easily accessible so that you can bring your family and friends who aren’t capable of hiking long distances with you. The mountain scenery on the drive to Gold Creek Pond from Seattle is gorgeous and breathtaking. However, in the winter months can be quite a drive and you may be required to chain up. The weather was perfect on October 15, 2022, making this the perfect Gold Creek Pond wedding.
Katie + Zach decided to bring along some of their best friends and their closest family members. Emi was actually a bridesmaid in this wedding so we asked our amazingly talented friends over at Venture to Elope if they could lead shoot this wedding for photography while I shoot the video for our sweet friends! Hannah and Adam are simply incredible humans. Hannah did such an amazing job on their photos and we were so so happy with the final results after editing the sneak peek for them!
The rest of our time in Washington state was spent exploring Mt. Rainier National Park and Olympic National Park. We flew in a few days early with our 1 month old son Zealand Rei Ward. He was such a great baby to fly with and we can’t wait to bring him on all of our upcoming adventures. We spent the first few days before the wedding exploring Mt. Rainier and we found some awesome places for some elopements their as well! Then the few days we had left after the wedding were spent exploring the beaches of Olympic National Park and the Hoh Rainforest. You really CAN’T GO WRONG ELOPING IN WASHINGTON. Love you guys!
